Chairman of the Board
Mr. Negrin joined the Board in March 2011, and was named Chairman of the Board in December 2011. Mr. Negrin has 23 years experience in financial services and the investment business. Mr. Negrin founded Lexin Capital, a private real estate investment company, in 2002 and remains the President of that firm. Lexin Capital has made more than $300 million of investments. Prior to founding Lexin Capital, Mr. Negrin was, in 1993 a founding partner of the Athena Group, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. At Athena Group, Mr. Negrin was responsible for investments of over $300 million in more than 30 distressed debt instruments. Mr. Negrin received his BS in economics and MBA in finance from New York University.
Director, President and CEO
Mr. Wilcox joined Savoy Bank in November 2012 from Spring Bank (formerly CheckSpring Bank), a community development bank located in Bronx, NY. As a co-founder of Spring Bank, Mr. Wilcox was instrumental in developing the bank's business plan for targeting the underbanked market and securing the regulatory approvals and capital required to launch the bank. During his tenure at the bank, Mr. Wilcox served in various roles, including most recently as Director, President, CEO and Chief Lending Officer, and worked closely with the board to build a diversified loan portfolio, comprising commercial, SBA, real estate, residential and consumer loans. Previously, Mr. Wilcox was director of marketing and business development for a web-based technology company and president of an outdoor media company he co-founded. Mr. Wilcox received credit training at New York University and has an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management and a BA from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Wilcox is fluent in Spanish and serves on the board of Credit Inc., a subsidiary of the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation that originates micro-loans to small business owners.
Mr. Tolston, in addition to his duties with the Bank, is currently Principal owner and President of Royal Seafood, Inc., a specialty food company. He concurrently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer of Grand Market International Corp., a wholesale/retail company. He has extensive experience with banks and brokerage houses, such as Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, and Bear Stearns.
Mr. Reeder is Executive Director of Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation (WHIDC), a non-for-profit organization since 1980 focused on community economic development programs designed to provide small minority and immigrant-owned businesses with technical assistance, advice, training and financing. In 1996, WHIDC was one of the first Community Development Financial Institutions certified by the US Treasury Department. Mr. Reeder earned a B.S. from the University of Illinois and an M.S. from Columbia University.
Only the second woman to open a bank in New York City is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Savoy Bank; Financial Services Executive with 25 year career at Citibank N.A.; Managing Partner of Durel Associates and Agem LLC, commercial real estate investment and management companies in Bergen County, N.J.
Mr. Shersher is General Manager of Alexander Primak Jewelry, Inc. in New York City. He is responsible for business management and development with particular strength in technological infrastructure and precious metals metallurgy – a field in which he is generally considered an industry authority. Earlier in his career Mr. Shersher was a Credit Officer in the Credit Card Division of Citibank, responsible for technology of collection call centers and implementation of all aspects of credit policy from credit acquisition to delinquency management. Mr. Shersher holds an M.S. in Management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York and a B.S. in Computer Science from Brooklyn College.
Jeffrey N. Bruce
Mr. Bruce is program director for neuro-oncology in the Columbia Cancer Center and the director of the Bartoli Brain Tumor Research Laboratory at Columbia where he leads an NIH-funded translational brain tumor research effort. Mr. Bruce is actively involved in organizing experimental clinical protocols for the treatment of brain tumors. He is a past president of the New York Society for Neurosurgery and serves on the editorial boards of Neurosurgery, Current Surgery, and the Journal of Radiosurgery. Additionally, he serves on the executive board of the Joint Section on Tumors for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons / Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Scientific Advisory Council for the American Brain Tumor Association. Mr. Bruce attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, graduating in 1983.
Mr. Campbell is Vice President of Gen Re Capital Consultants (GRCC), which provides consulting services to Insurance companies. Services they offer include: establishment of asset allocation strategies; analysis of source of portfolio risk; and development of corporate capital and growth strategies. Mr. Campbell earned a B.S. from Duke University, an M.B.A. and an M.S. from New York University.
