Types of IRAs
- Self-Directed IRA – A self-directed IRA that permits the account holder to make investments on behalf of the retirement plan.
- Roth IRA – You make contributions with after-tax assets. Transactions within the IRA have no tax impact and withdrawals are usually tax-free.
- Traditional IRA – Your contributions are typically tax-deductible (made with pre-tax assets) and all transactions and earnings within the IRA have no tax impact. Withdrawals following retirement are taxed as regular income.
